I’ll Never Recommend Something I Wouldn’t Take As Well
I am not a big endorser of supplements. In fact, I think that 90% of them are complete rubbish so let me just go ahead and tell you that I would never recommend something that I wouldn’t take myself.
There are actually a few supplements that are proven to help you get results and help your body to work at it’s full potential. These are the ones you would find in my own house and most of them I’ve taken at length and still feel comfortable talking about.
If you are totally against supplements then that’s fine you can get amazing results with your workouts and healthy eating without the help of anything…
But if you are looking for a little “extra” something then these could help. Yes, the list is short!
Whey Protein… Feed The Muscles

Walking into a supplement store can be a bit intimidating!
Whey protein is just isolated protein from milk. It is low in carbs, and very high in protein. In fact, most whey scoops have around 25 grams per serving. Why protein? Because after a tough workout your muscles are screaming for amino acids to help them recover (these are muscle’s building blocks).
Protein supplements helps your muscles and your body to recover faster. Also most whey is low in calories but because of the high protein helps you feel fuller longer so you end up eating less, which makes it a great dietary help when trying to cut back on daily calories.
Since whey is derived from milk, so people may feel bloated or gassy after taking it… start off with a half scoop and work your way up. If you still can’t handle it there are other options like egg white protein powders and soy protein.
Which specific brands to I prefer? I’ve already written up a great post about it here… Top Whey Protein
Creatine… Re-Energize Yourself
I know you probably think creatine is just for the muscle men, but it’s not. Creatine is not a direct muscle building… and should not be compared to something like steroids.

It not to "bulk" you up
Creatine is actually naturally in your muscles, it’s called creatine-phosphate. When you are doing short burst of intense exercise like strength training or sprints, your muscles use it for energy.
Taking a creatine supplement simply gives you more energy so you can maybe lift an extra rep, push through another set or even sprint a little faster or further. In fact, new research shows that creatine helps women’s aerobic workouts too…
Take a creatine monohydrate for best results. I like NO-Explode personally. With this brand you mix it as a drink before your intense workouts like the ones offered in Body Fat Blasting Boot Camp.
Fish Oil… Eat Fat To Burn Fat
Fish oil is a Omega-3 supplement. Which is a healthy fat, and offers tons of benefits. From fat metabolism (breaking down fat) to healthy hair and skin and nerve health! I take an omega-3 supplement every morning with a multivitamin.
Just talk with your doctor first, because it is also a blood thinner, much like aspirin.
That’s A Wrap
And that’s it! I told you the list was short. Other supplements that I take are my multivitamins but that’s more for just being healthy as opposed to my body composition. Everything else has to do with eating a balanced diet of healthy grains, proteins, and fats.
Make sure to drink plenty of water as well, staying hydrated is perhaps the best help at burning body fat so you’re body can run at 100%.
